Why is this new functionality better than just sending an SMS from Messenger?
With the new functionality you can see when your contact is logged in and available on their Messenger client on their mobile phone. You are able to send selected emoticons. Your contact can see when you are online at your PC.
Is this functionality available for all my mobile contacts?
No, this enhanced functionality is only available for your mobile contacts who are using the Vodafone Messenger client (only available on select handsets)
What happens to my mobile contacts who can't use Vodafone Messenger?
You can still send them SMS in the usual fashion (functionality available on Messenger 7.0) and receive replies back from them. You will not be able to see their presence or send them emoticons.
